Diving again into the spiritual universe of Yoruba, Adimú embodies a sacred offering dedicated to an orisha, a personal patron saint. The process of transculturation and syncretism of African culture in Cuba has transformed these offerings, passed down fromgeneration to generation. Inspired by this evolution and in continuity with his "Akokàn" series, the artist presents his "Adimú" series.An Adimú is a specific and personal offering to an orisha. Replacing traditional offerings with vibrant colors on oil pastels on sand, the artist adds sensory depth charged with spirituality and cultural resonance.
